Windows 12 Leaked By Microsoft — Here is First Look!, Microsoft accidentally revealed a UI design prototype for the next version of Windows at Ignite 2022

Microsoft is hard at work on the next version of Windows, which is commonly referred to as “Next Valley” internally. I had reported in July that Microsoft was returning to a three-year development cycle for the next major version of Windows.

Microsoft has struggled to find a balance between touch and mouse users with previous versions of Windows. Windows 8 was too touch-centric, and Windows 10 was too mouse-centric. Windows 11 attempts to find a balance, but it still leans more toward mouse input first and touch input second.

As posted previously, Microsoft could be planning to start releasing new major Windows versions every three years again and plan to release more frequent feature updates for Windows several times per year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj54rZvRjW0 &t=19s Now according to Windows Central, a screenshot Microsoft revealed during the Ignite conference, could be the first look at the next version of Windows codenamed “Next Valley”, be that Windows 11 version 24H2 or Windows 12.
At this stage Microsoft have not confirmed any of this.

Introducing New Windows 12 in 2022 ?
No, it’s not a typo. According to our information, Microsoft will start preparing for “Windows 12” in March. In the run-up, they had already been looking for employees who would then provide additional support to the team. SwiftOnSecurity also confirms this information.

That doesn’t mean that we’ll see a new Windows 12 tomorrow. This can still drag on because you start (almost) from scratch. One can assume that the Windows 10 substructure will then be completely said goodbye. Windows 11 still has this substructure.

That means in plain English: What you started with Windows 10X, to do everything new, is then really implemented in Windows 12. The latest changes in the Insider already show where the path is going. Leave out the old ones and only implement current things.

Microsoft is once again changing their update plans for Windows.
Not too long ago the company committed to only a once-a-year major update.
But now they seem to be considering ony pushing out a major update that adds a ton of features every 3 years.
Apparently because updates on Windows 11 had so many performance issues & bugs that Microsoft just wants more time so that such problems wuldn’t happen anymore.
So hey Windows might just stop basically beta testing all of their users & bricking their printers & random features every once in a while.
Which would be really refreshing.
